Presenting RAA’s Conference Speakers
Helping Clients With Long Covid Using Finger Free Reflexology
For over two years the world has been ravaged by a new virus. For many, once they have caught it and ‘recovered’, this virus still leaves people feeling very unwell with a multitude of symptoms.
In the UK, David Wayte has been working with the Association of Reflexologists regarding what Reflexologists can do to help. This presentation will look at some of the common symptoms of Long Covid, examine how we can create focused sessions to help our clients as best we can……….and David will show a ‘live’ practical treatment using his unique Finger Free® Reflexology techniques so you get a ‘two for the price of one’ demonstration and see these radically different techniques in action.

Your Vagus Nerve Takes the Lead on Self-Care
In the healing field, there has been much dialogue regarding the Vagus Nerve. At one time the Vagus Nerve was a mere mention of “see how the longest nerve in the body (Cranial Nerve X), begins in the brainstem and reaches so many organs” and “it is part of the parasympathetic nervous system” and “we can activate the Vagus Nerve through the ears.”
Now, there is more understanding of the Vagus Nerve and researchers have discovered easier ways to access and activate this vital element of our nervous system. In this presentation, Claire will introduce some basic functions of the nerve. Most importantly, she will share ways to activate the nerve with simple, unchallenging activities, along with others which need more deliberate attention. She will bring the discussion towards addressing the VN with reflexology and integrating ways clients can help themselves.

Please contact Stefanie Sabounchian, Conference Chair, at RAAEvents@reflexology-usa.org
This is a first come first served basis.
If you have any questions, please reach out to InfoRAA@reflexology-usa.org and we will respond as quickly as possible.

All two days of the Conference will be recorded, except for the breakout sessions ‘Meet the Speakers.’ Watch for an email from us with the recording links a few days after the conference, as it will take us a few days to edit and make available. What did RAA Virtual 2021 conference attendees have to say about the 2021 Virtual conference?
I thought the Board did a fabulous job of getting it to us. it was quite simple to follow once we got the basics. It was nice to see everyone's faces and names as well.
I felt that each session and training was a front row seat.
I loved meeting new people. For a year I was very isolated as a new and young reflexologist.
The positivity of all the presenters and those responsible for all the logistics! Well done!
Sitting at my computer! Haaaa. It was a bonus to not to have the large expense of travel/hotels. I liked the availability of he presenters in the breakout rooms. It was very personable and easy to ask questions.
I really liked the variety of topics the speakers presented. I enjoyed the break-out rooms so that we could get a bit more time with the speakers and resonated with us as individual reflexologists.
The energy was maintained throughout the day.
I really appreciate that the conference was held to the outlined schedule, and you kept things running on time without going over time. I know it took a ton of work to plan and execute the entire thing, and figure out all the virtual elements. Great job!
I really enjoyed it. Although nothing replaces face-to-face connections, it was wonderful to put faces to names and get to know the board members and presenters up close and personal.
Loved he coffee chats and break-out sessions. I also thought it was priced appropriately for the format we had.
Without the cost of traveling, RAA Virtual Conferences are a bargain!
I thought it was fantastic! Having a special needs child at home, and a widowed mother who has had a stroke and is living with cancer that I care for makes traveling for multi-day trips extremely difficult. But I could arrange my schedule to be fully present for the duration of the virtual conference. I have never been able to travel to attend a RAA conference, so this was ideal for my situation. I would love it if RAA could host a virtual conference on the years in between live conferences. Even if it were a mini conference for less time
