Wendy Decker was a CNA for thirteen years and then had a cleaning business for seven years. She attended Janet Stetser’s “Footloose” School of Reflexology in Alna, Maine, graduating in 1991. Graduation from the Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine in 1993 was followed by ARCB certification in 1995. Wendy practices reflexology, massage and acupressure in her home office in Bath, Maine.
Wendy has been a member of the Maine Council of Reflexologists for 25 years. She has been on many committees, including membership, ethics, bylaws, brochure, legislative and website (chairing some), was newsletter editor, and is currently website master and legislative chair. Wendy was on the MCR board for years, not only as secretary, but as vice president and president for two terms, at two different times
In the future, Wendy sees RAA continuing to help states with legislative issues. She wants to promote RAA membership and make the national organization strong. Wendy also wants to see more member benefits, such as exclusive discounts on products and services like online scheduling, Vistaprint, website options, downloadable intake forms and marketing tools.
And last but not least, she wants to continue to educate consumers about reflexology, the differences between reflexology and massage, and about the legitimate reflexology practice.
