In 2013, Andrea began her study of reflexology at the encouragement of a friend. Thinking that “this might be an interesting thing to do”, she has since realized that this prodding was no accident, but a Divine appointment. Hence, reflexology in all of its fascinating nuances has become an integral part of her life. She believes in the body’s God-given ability to balance and heal itself when given the appropriate “tools” to facilitate this process. The practice of reflexology is definitely one of those tools. Choosing to make this beneficial integrative health modality readily available to the smaller towns and cities in the Northwest Ohio area, she established a part-time private practice in her lifelong home, the rural village of Old Fort, Ohio.
Andrea received her initial reflexology certification in July 2013 and went on to obtain her ARCB certification in December 2015. She continues to pursue diverse educational opportunities when offered by various state and national organizations, as well as by established, certificated educators and leaders in the field of reflexology. She knows that every morsel of knowledge gained has potential benefits for clients in their quests to achieve optimal balance, health, wellness and wholeness. She is currently a member of the Reflexology Association of Ohio (RAO) and the Reflexology Association of America (RAA).
David and Andrea celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in September 2021. They have one grown daughter and one tween granddaughter. Andrea is a dual cancer survivor, twenty years and counting. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as hiking, reading, knitting, painting and target shooting (when time allows). In addition, she volunteers in various ways at the church she attends.
Her hope is that the reflexology profession will become fully recognized, respected, and accepted as a legitimate integrative health practice in the USA. She is confident that RAA will continue to be a vibrant, vocal advocate in support of and in cooperation with the many facets of the reflexology community for the greater good of this valuable profession. She encourages RAA members to discover their untapped positive potential and share their insights and expertise by becoming involved with and supporting this vital organization.
