Perhaps the Most Important Class You’ll Ever Attend
When people think reflexology, most think “feet”. However, research has shown hand reflexology to be as effective as foot, with the added benefit of easier accessibility.
In addition to the full-body benefits of deep relaxation and increased blood and lymph flow, hand reflexology is especially practical in this day and age in helping to alleviate the affects that computers, tablets and smart phones have placed on our hands.
In this workshop you will learn to:
★ perform a relaxing hand reflexology session addressing 34 body structures.
★ name and palpate the bones of the hands.
★ identify the 10 longitudinal and four horizontal reflexology zones of the body and hands.
★ reduce or eliminate hand and/or wrist pain with simple stretching and strengthening techniques.
★ recognize the three primary contraindications for reflexology; adapt reflexology sessions to individual client health considerations.
★ identify irregularities of the hands that warrant further questioning and/or referral to a medical practitioner.
★ safely incorporate hydrotherapy and essential oil therapy within a hand reflexology session.
